It was also announced that Kiyoshi Kobayashi is retiring from the role of Daisuke Jigen. Akio Otsuka will take over the role after "Episode 0 -Jidai-".
Synopsis:
The story follows a thief whose grandfather was the famous phantom thief Arsène Lupin. When it comes to the art of stealing, there's nothing he can't steal; be it jewels, works of art, hidden treasures, the secret of immortality, or the heart of a beautiful girl. Lupin III's partners are Daisuke Jigen, a great marksman; Goemon Ishikawa, a master swordsman; and Fujiko Mine, a diabolically intelligent femme fatale. There's also Inspector Zenigata, a ruthless ICPO officer consumed by an obsessive desire to apprehend the masterful thief.
In addition, Monkey Punch published the manga between 1967 and 1972 in the magazine Manga Action. Lupin III had ten theatrical releases, as well as six TV series and 27 feature-length TV specials.
Finally, the most recent release was part 5 in 2018, with 24 episodes.
