Lupin III franchise will gain a new feature film titled Lupin The IIIRD The Movie: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku (Immortal Bloodline) , which will reach Japanese theaters on June 27 .

In addition, streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime Video , will launch a prequel entitled Lupin The IIIRD: Zenigata to Futari on Lupin ( Zenigata and the Two Lupins ) on June 20 . See the trailer below:

Plot and protagonist unpublished
The main film, Fujimi in Ketsuzoku, will follow Lupin and his gang in search of a hidden treasure on a mysterious island .
Prequel will focus on inspector Zenigata , a traditional rival of Lupin. The plot begins with a terrorist attack at an airport in the fictional “Soviet Union”, where Lupin is the main suspect. However, Zenigata is soon involved in a conspiracy that suggests the existence of more than one Lupin .
Cast and technical team
The main film had revealed a little of its production and the cast. Telecom Animation Film is producing the work, and Toho Next will distribute.
The film will be returned from Takeshi Koike ( Lupin III: The Woman named Fujiko Mine ) in the direction, with script by Yūya Takahashi . The soundtrack will be in charge of James Shimoji , and Katsuhito Ishii will act as a creative consultant.
The cast will feature:
- Kenyū Horiuchi as the “false lupin”;
- Ainosuke Kataoka like Muomu, an immortal man;
- Aoi Morikawa as a Sarifa, an enigmatic girl who serves Muomu.

Theme Music and Curiosities
The theme song of the main movie was also revealed. The rock band B'z is responsible for interpreting “The IIIRD Eye” .
This will be the first traditional franchise movie in almost 30 years , since Lupin III: Dead or Alive (1996). Although other projects have hit theaters in recent decades, such as Lupin The IIIRD: Jigen's Bassetone and Lupin III The First (in CGI), this marks the return of the franchise to the classic format.
