Through a conference it was announced that the light novel Machigatte Iru ( Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darō ka? ) translation, “Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in dungeons?” by author Fujino Ōmori will gain its anime adaptation.
Yoshiki Yamakawa (Hatsukoi Limited, Little Busters!) will direct the anime through JC Staff (Little Busters!), Hideki Shirane (Date A Live) is handling the series composition. Shigeki Kimoto is designing the characters for the anime, and GENCO will produce the series.
The story takes place in the city of labyrinths, also known as the "Dungeon." It revolves around Vel Clanel, a novice adventurer who admires girls. One day, during an adventure, he is attacked by a Minotaur. Nearly dead, he is saved by a first-class adventurer. He falls in love with her at first sight and begins his journey to become a high-level adventurer. Later, he meets Hestia, a god nicknamed the "Lolita god" due to her stature, who also falls in love with him.
The anime is the first part of a series of projects being planned to celebrate the GA Bunko brand in Japan.
