Macross Delta (Macross Δ) – The new series in the Macross franchise following Frontier has received a new promotional video. A special will be shown in Japan later this year, but the series premiere date has not yet been confirmed.
The animation is being handled by studio Satelight , the direction is by Kenji Yasuda (Arata: The Legend, Noein), and the character design is by Yuu Shindou (Persona 4 the Golden Animation).
The franchise began in 1982 with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross , followed by two more series , Macross 7 and Macross Frontier , several films starting with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?, and various OVAs (including Macross II, Macross Plus, Macross Dynamite 7, and Macross Zero).
