Macross Delta (Macross Δ) — New anime from the “Macross” series received new features, including a teaser and several promotional images from this new TV series. The new anime series from the Macross franchise will premiere on December 31st.
Satelight studio and direction by Kenji Yasuda (Arata: The Legend, Noein – to your other self, Sōsei no Aquarion Love), the script is by Toshizo Nemoto (Inu X Boku Secret Service, Log Horizon) and character design is by Yuu Shindou (Persona 4 the Golden Animation).
The franchise began in 1982 with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross , followed by two more series Macross 7 and Macross Frontier , several films starting with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? and several OVAs (including Macross II, Macross Plus, Macross Dynamite 7 and Macross Zero).
It's been four years since the last major anime, Macross Frontier, in Japan the two Macross Frontier films will receive a new Blu-ray release on December 24th.
