Macross Delta (Macross Δ) — The new anime in the “Macross” series has received updates, including a teaser trailer and several promotional images for this new TV series. The new anime series in the Macross franchise will premiere on December 31st.
With animation by studio Satelight and direction by Kenji Yasuda (Arata: The Legend, Noein – to your other self, Sōsei no Aquarion Love), the script is by Toshizo Nemoto (Inu X Boku Secret Service, Log Horizon) and character design by Yuu Shindou (Persona 4 the Golden Animation).
The franchise began in 1982 with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross , followed by two more series , Macross 7 and Macross Frontier , several films starting with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?, and various OVAs (including Macross II, Macross Plus, Macross Dynamite 7, and Macross Zero).
It has been four years since the last major anime, Macross Frontier, in Japan, and the two Macross Frontier films will receive a new Blu-ray release on December 24th.
