Macross Frontier anime ended this week in Japan, after its ending a teaser was presented, saying that a new TV series is on the way, but unfortunately the announcement did not give more details about the new project in the franchise.
The franchise began in 1982 with the classic The Super Dimension Fortress, a space war-themed series featuring a love triangle involving fighter jets. This series spawned two more TV series, the famous Macross 7, and years later, Frontier, followed. Several films and OVA series (Macross II, Plus, Dynamite 7, and Zero) also made their way to the big screen. More news on this new project coming soon.
