The rerun of the anime Macross Frontier ended this week in Japan, and after its finale, a teaser was shown saying that a new TV series is on the way, but unfortunately the announcement did not give any further details about the new project in the franchise.
The franchise began in 1982 with the classic The Super Dimension Fortress, a space war-themed series involving a love triangle with fighter jets, which spawned two more TV series: the famous Macross 7 and, years later, Frontier. Several films and OVA series gained prominence (Macross II, Plus, Dynamite 7, and Zero) and also made it to the screen. More news about this new project coming soon.
