We have official confirmation of the 2nd season of the Made in Abyss anime for 2022. According to the announcement on the official website , the new series is titled Made in Abyss : Retsujitsu no Ōgonkyō ( Made in Abyss : The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City ).

Furthermore, Spike Chunsoft is developing an RPG game in the series. The game will feature a fully voiced original story, supervised by Tsukushi, and will be released for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (via Steam) in 2022. Numskull Games is offering a physical version in Europe.
Synopsis:
Made in Abyss tells the story of Riko, a 12-year-old girl who lives in Orth, a town surrounding an abyss, a large crater on an island lost in the Beoluska Sea, which was discovered approximately 1900 years ago. Riko is a crater digger, an explorer who finds relics to help support the orphanage where she lives, Belchero.
The first season of the anime consisted of 13 episodes, based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi , and premiered in Japan in July 2017. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series and released it on Blu-ray in October 2018.
Following the series, the project had a first film compilation of the episodes as well as a second film titled Wandering Twilight , which in turn arrived in Japanese cinemas
Finally, the third film, Dawn of the Deep Soul (Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei), the new anime film in the franchise, arrived in Japan on Friday, licensed by Sentai Filmworks.
