A new trailer for the Made in Abyss anime , Dawn of a Deep Soul , was released this weekend. The film is the direct sequel to where the anime ended, and opens in Japanese cinemas on January 17, 2020.
The film is in the hands of director Masayuki Kojima, with assistance from Hitoshi Haga. Kazuchika Kise works as the character designer and Hiroyuki Saita is the chief animation director. In addition to him, Hiroko Oguri and Sayuri Sakimoto work on the animation, and Masayuki Kojima and Satoshi Sakai handle the film's storyboard.
