A new trailer for the Made in Abyss anime , Dawn of a Deep Soul , was released this weekend. The film is a direct sequel to the anime's ending and opens in Japanese theaters on January 17, 2020.
The film is directed by Masayuki Kojima, with assistance from Hitoshi Haga. Kazuchika Kise serves as character designer, and Hiroyuki Saita serves as chief animation director. Hiroko Oguri and Sayuri Sakimoto also work on the animation, and Masayuki Kojima and Satoshi Sakai are responsible for the film's storyboards.
