mahou-shoujo-madoka-magicaDistributor Warner Bros released a report this weekend and informed that Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Rebellion- earned around 1 billion yen (US$10 million) between its premiere on October 27th and November 7th.

According to the distributor, the film sold its tickets very quickly and entered the ranking of million-dollar films that came from an animated TV series, thus competing for positions with K-ON! the movie and this year's success, anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day .

Madoka Magica The Movie - Rebellion is the third film in the highly anticipated sequel to the TV series "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," where Madoka Kaname, a normal girl who had a happy life, sacrificed herself to save the other magical girls from a cruel fate that awaited them.
