The company Shogakukan announced on Sunday 12/01, that the spin-off manga “ Magi: Sinbad no Bouken” (Magi: The Adventure of Sinbad) will have an anime adaptation (OVA) of the 3rd volume.

The adaptation of Shinobu Ohtaka Yoshifumi Ōtera 's manga will be bundled with the special edition of the third compiled volume, which is scheduled for release in Japan on May 16. Special information about the anime will be published in the second volume, which is scheduled for release on Friday in Japan.

The "prototype" manga with art by Ōtera was bundled with the anime's Blu-ray Weekly Shonen Sunday later that year. After beginning full serialization in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine , it moved to the publisher's comic web site " Ura Sunday " last year.
