The anime Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden received the news that its premiere is scheduled for January 2020. In addition to the announcement of its premiere date, a trailer and a poster with the anime's visuals were revealed.
The official website revealed that the anime will be animated by SHAFT and directed by Gekidan Inu Curry. Gekidan will also be writing the series' script, while Junichirou Taniguchi will design the characters, and Takumi Ozawa will compose the music. The opening and ending themes will be performed by TrySail and Claris, respectively.
