Weekly Shonen magazine has announced that the manga Magic Kaito by author Gosho Aoyama is being adapted.
An interesting twist to this published news is that the anime will be animated by A- 1 Pictures (Another, Fairy Tail) and will air in the time slot before the Aoyama Detective Conan anime adaptation in early October. The anime is one of the projects being carried out in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Detective Conan serialization in Shonen Sunday .
Magic Kaito manga revolves around a young magician named Kaito Kuroba who follows late father 's footsteps as legendary thief Kaito Kid. The character has previously appeared in Conan story , often as a formidable rival .
