The second season of the anime Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. has been confirmed to premiere in July 2026, airing in Japan on Nippon TV. Additionally, the production released a new promotional video and revealed important changes to the main cast.
The original work, created by Iwata Yukka and Aoki Yuu, presents a world where "anomalies" function like natural disasters. Magical girls act as hired professionals to combat them. Meanwhile, the first season aired between October and December 2024, garnering attention for its blend of action and corporate life.
In this new phase, Fukushima Toshinori will direct, with a script by Yokote Michiko. Additionally, Fujii Masahiro will serve as chief animation director, while Miyazaki Makoto will compose the soundtrack. The animation will continue to be handled by JCSTAFF .
On the other hand, the story follows the maturation of Kanami Sakuragi, now more experienced both as an adult and as a magical girl. The teaser already indicates new challenges and responsibilities within Magilumiere, thus raising the tone of the narrative. Therefore, the 2nd season promises to further deepen the universe of the series.
