Mahotsukai no Reimeiki will receive a manga adaptation in July!

The August issue of the monthly Shonen Sirius revealed on Wednesday (26) that Kakeru Kobashiri's Mahotsukai no Reimeiki novels are inspiring a manga by Tatsuwo that will launch in the next issue on July 26.

The light novel series is set in the same fantasy world as Kobashiri's light novel series Zero Kara Hajimeru Maho no Sho, now at peace after having suffered a conflict between the church and witches for 500 years. However, the embers of war still burn in some regions of the world. The story centers on Savil, a hopeless student at the College of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias. Savil has somehow lost all memory of his time before attending high school. School director Albus sends him for special training in the southern part of the continent, where persecution against witches is strong.

Kobashiri released the novel with the first volume last August. Takashi Iwasaki (Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho (manga) provides the art, and illustrator Yoshinori Shizuma (Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho) has partial credit on the character designs. Kodansha published the second volume on March 1.

The Kobashiri Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho (Grimoire of Zero) light novels were released in 11 volumes from 2014 to 2017. The series inspired a manga adaptation by Takashi Iwasaki, a separate manga Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho nano! of Yasuoka, and a television anime that premiered in Japan in April 2017. Amazon's Anime Strike service aired the series.

Tatsuwo launched the manga adaptation of the Macross Delta anime in April 2016 and ended it in January 2018. The manga has four compiled volumes.
