new Madoka Magica film has been announced , a direct sequel to the 2013 film Rebellion . According to reports, the new film is in celebration of the franchise's 10th anniversary.
Thus, the film is titled Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten (Turning the Tide of Walpurgis). The film's tagline reads: "Now, let's continue the story.
Additionally, the entire staff from the anime and other films returns, including the original creators, chief director Akiyuki Simbo , scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus, original character designers Ume Aoki and Junichirō Taniguchi, composer Y Kajiura, as well as animation studio Shaft.
The cast includes:

- Kaori Mizuhashi as Mami Tomoe

The event also revealed a new smartphone game, Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, featuring an entirely original story, "Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica scene0." Additionally, a two-disc soundtrack for the franchise will be available worldwide on Monday on Spotify and Apple Music.
Finally, an exhibition will open in Tokyo at the end of September this year. The film does not yet have a theatrical release date in Japan.
