Fans who thought it was over!! Through social media, fans of the light novel Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (The Irregular at Magic High School) learned of the announcement of a new film in the franchise.

Therefore, the film was titled The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc (Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Yotsuba Keishō-hen), which will adapt the novel of the same name, specifically the "Yotsuba Succession" arc.
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (The Irregular at Magic High School) began publication in 2008, concluding in September 2020 after 32 volumes. Two sequels followed shortly after, released in October 2020 and January 2021.
Therefore, the first season of the anime adaptation premiered in April 2014, consisting of 26 episodes. The highly anticipated second season, titled The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, premiered on October 3, 2021, comprising 13 episodes. Recently, the third season concluded its run.
Produced by Studio 8-Bit (known for works such as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Infinite Stratos), the anime is directed by Risako Yoshida (who also directed the film The Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Summons the Stars). Character design is by Kana Ishida, while Taku Iwasaki returns to compose the music, guaranteeing a unique sound experience.
Finally, in addition to the television seasons, the franchise also expanded into film with the movie The Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Summons the Stars, which premiered in June 2017.
