BS11 has released a trailer for the second season of the anime Maken-Ki!. The series is scheduled to premiere on January 15th, and the video highlights the opening theme "Cherish" performed by sweet ARMS .
The animation is being handled by studio Xebec , the director is Hiraku Kaneko (The Qwaser of Stigmata), and the character design is by Akio Takami (Shaman King).
The story revolves around Takeru Ōyama, a boy who attends an elite school where students battle with mysterious powers. It is at this school that he meets Kodama, his self-proclaimed fiancée Inaho, and Haruko, his childhood friend.
