The official Twitter account My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi announced that the manga will not appear in the 32nd issue of Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump on Monday so the staff can switch to the digital version .

The magazine's editorial department stated that the team's shift in how to draw the manga went from analog techniques ( pencil and paper ) to digital due to the effects of the novel coronavirus ( COVID-19 ), and they are taking precautions to lessen the risk to Horikoshi and his team.
Shueisha took longer than anticipated, so the staff and editorial department decided to postpone the new chapter. The next chapter will appear in the combined 33rd/34th issue on July 20th.
Furthermore, Shueisha stated on May 11 that the magazine's staff anticipates further delays for ongoing manga, as authors are drawing manga in a way that minimizes the risk of being infected with COVID-19, and the time required for a manga creator to draw a manuscript has increased considerably.
