The popular manga Sousou no Frieren (Frieren and the Journey to the Beyond) by Abe Tsukasa and Yamada Kanehito has announced its indefinite hiatus.

Therefore, Sousou's hiatus at Frieren begins on May 8, 2024.

It's worth noting that by December 2023, the manga had over 17 million copies in circulation. In 2021, it won the 14th Manga Taishō and the New Creator Award at the 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.

Synopsis Manga Frieren:

As for the plot, after the demon king's defeat, the victorious band of heroes prepares to part ways and return home. Frieren, the mage, Himmel, the hero, Heiter, the priest, and Eisen, the warrior, reminisce about their decade-long journey as they prepare to say goodbye.

Therefore, it is worth mentioning that this entire work is based on the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, being serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday since April 2020.

Finally, the animated series by the Madhouse studio had its premiere in the September 2023 season.
