Synopsis

Miroku is a woman with a cut mouth, whose ear-to-ear smile inspires fear in the superstitious, but who would have thought she had a fiancé? Once an infamous urban legend, the self-proclaimed “Queen of Folklore” finds her existence threatened by the public's diminishing belief in her. She is also drawn into a contractual marriage with Kouichi Sano, a 17-year-old boy belonging to a family responsible for the continued existence of the supernatural.

Miroku is not thrilled with the arrangement and wishes to regain his notoriety through his own means. For this reason, Sano makes his fiancée an offer: if she can scare him once before she turns 18, he will end the engagement. Miroku accepts these conditions, but is disturbed by the condition proposed by Sano — he must make her fall in love with him.

Kajimoto released the series digitally on Shonen Jump+ in November 2020. Shueisha released volume 10 on November 2.

Finally, Mangaplus started publishing the manga about the girl with her mouth cut off in English in November 2021. There is still no expected arrival date in PT-BR.
