Author Ichigo Takano revealed on Twitter this Thursday (22) that the seventh volume of her manga , Orange , would be the true end of the saga.
With its debut in 2012 in the magazine Bessatsu Margaret , and relocating to Monthly Action in 2013, the manga finished being published in 2015 with 5 volumes. With an anime shown during 2016 that also inspired a sequel film, Orange -Mirai- , the sixth volume of the series was made to adapt this film. The sixth volume also includes the chapters of a spin-off manga, which centers the character Suwa in an alternative future, and also the reveal of a seventh volume for the series.
The story of Orange centers on Takamiya Naho , a 16-year-old high school student who receives a mysterious letter, said to be from her 17-year-old self, which leaves her upset. The letter talks about a new transfer student named Naruse Kakeru , and that she should keep an eye on him. But why? Naho decides to follow the letter's advice, and what it means not only for her future, but also for Kakeru's.
Takano is currently publishing his new manga, Kimi ni Nare Futabasha 's monthly magazine , since April last year.
