Author Ichigo Takano revealed on her Twitter this Thursday (22) that the seventh volume of her manga , Orange , would be the true end of the saga.
Debuting in 2012 in Bessatsu Margaret , and moving to Monthly Action in 2013, the manga finished publication in 2015 with five volumes. An anime series aired in 2016 that also inspired a sequel film, Orange Mirai , and the sixth volume of the series was adapted from this film. The sixth volume also includes chapters of a spin-off manga, which centers on the character Suwa in an alternate future, and also reveals a seventh volume for the series.
The story of Orange centers on Takamiya Naho , a 16-year-old high school student who receives a mysterious letter, said to be from her 17-year-old self, which leaves her distraught. The letter tells her about a new transfer student named Naruse Kakeru , and that she should keep an eye on him. But why? Naho decides to follow the letter's advice, and what this means not only for her future, but also for Kakeru's.
Takano has been publishing his new manga, Kimi ni Nare Futabasha 's monthly magazine since April of last year.
