Besides, we have recent renowned works like Kagurabachi and Dandadan, as well as classics like One Piece and Hunter x Hunter, which have returned to weekly publication.

First, speaking specifically of YouTube, you can see that manga dominates the two topics. However, the red line for Manhwa isn't as bad. However, in comparison, it's clear which of the two has had more popularity over the last 12 months (2023-2024). On the other hand, we see that Manhwa's red line has been more stable, while Manga's blue line dips slightly at certain points.

When comparing manga and manhwa over the past 12 months via Google, you can see that the difference is the same as before on YouTube. Basically, there's nothing more to see here, except the fact that manga's dominance is obvious.

Finally, as we can see immediately, manga is more popular in almost every country. Furthermore, the blue colors on the map reflect manga, while the red reflects Manhwa, and you can't see any red spots on the map. In short, Manhwa's presence on the world map might as well not even exist (unless you zoom in significantly).

Therefore, it's clear that manga dominates thanks to its decades-long tradition. However, manhwa's growth in such a short space of time is alarming. In other words, perhaps in the future we could see this gap narrow even further, or even surpass manga!
