The creator Maplestar has confirmed new animated projects, including an 18+ production focused on the popular couple Himmel and Frieren . The choice came after a poll conducted in 2025, where the duo led as the most requested by the public.

Furthermore, another highlight involves the One Piece , with the duo Zoro and Robin receiving a brand-new adaptation by the animator. This will be the first time that maplestar explores the work created by Eiichiro Oda , known for its blend of action and adventure.

Other titles are in production, including the recently announced Solo Leveling , an adaptation based on Chugong , as well as projects inspired by Sakamoto Days , Kaiju No. 8 , and Reze from Chainsaw Man .

Timeline and upcoming releases

According to the published schedule, Solo Leveling is expected to debut in April, still in the final stages of composition and painting. Following that, Sakamoto Days and Kaiju No. 8 , with the Reze project scheduled soon after.

Maplestar built its reputation with animations aimed at an adult audience. Therefore, characters like Makima , Yor Forger , and Marin Kitagawa helped solidify its name in the niche. Ultimately, the case reignites the debate about the value of independent work and support for auteur creators.

Finally, the creator plans to open new polls to determine future animations. For more news, follow everything about anime and also check out the upcoming seasons on AnimeNew.
