Marvel Rivals is getting a special event to celebrate the Spring Festival . Starting January 23, players will be able to access a new temporary mode called Clash of Dancing Lions , as well as unlock exclusive costumes and other new items.
The event will also feature a special pack inspired by Marvel's Spider-Man 2 , featuring the Advanced Suit 2.0 for Spider-Man . This update is part of the game's first season, which has been receiving additional content since launch.
New Clash of Dancing Lions mode arrives in the game
The event's main new feature is the Clash of Dancing Lions , a competitive 3v3 format. In it, players compete to maintain possession of the ball and score points in strategic areas of the map.
The dynamics are reminiscent of arcade soccer games, requiring skill and strategy to secure victory. Thus, the team that reaches the required score first is declared the winner.
This new mechanic adds variety to the gameplay of Marvel Rivals , which already relies on dynamic combat and teamwork.
Marvel Rivals launches exclusive skins and items at the event
In addition to the new game mode, the event will bring several themed rewards. One of the highlights is the Star-Lord: Lion's Mane , inspired by the Spring Festival aesthetic.
Marvel Games will be releasing new costumes over the coming weeks, including Iron Fist: Lion's Gaze and Black Widow: Lion's Heartbeat . Players will also be able to obtain exclusive nameplates and sprays.
Another new feature is the Fortune & Colors , which will allow in-game card customization. This will give participants more options to customize their Marvel Rivals .
Spider-Man Special Pack to be Released
Marvel's Spider-Man 2- inspired bundle arrives in the game on January 30. The pack will include the Advanced Suit 2.0 , as well as a nameplate and a special spray.
