A new free Black Widow skin may be coming to Marvel Rivals . According to recent leaks, the NetEase Games title will be running a special event from March 7th to April 11th, offering players a version inspired by the Marvel 1872 series.

The visual design places Natasha Romanoff in the Old West, featuring a cowboy hat with her famous logo, a red scarf, leather gloves, and even a classic revolver. Furthermore, the aesthetic evokes an environment worthy of Red Dead Redemption 2, giving the heroine a unique style.

Black Widow of the Old West and the connection to Bucky Barnes

In the Marvel 1872 comic book series, Black Widow is portrayed as Natasha Barnes, wife of Deputy James "Bucky" Barnes. However, after her husband's death, she becomes a vigilante on horseback, fighting corruption and helping to overthrow Mayor Wilson Fisk. The story takes place on Earth-51920 and features Western versions of heroes like Captain America and Iron Man.

If the leaked skin is confirmed, it could be an indication that other versions from the Marvel 1872 universe will also arrive in the game in the future. Furthermore, the end of the event coincides with the supposed start date of the second season of Marvel Rivals, which may indicate even more themed content coming soon.

Marvel Rivals continues to expand its roster and skins

Since its launch, Marvel Rivals has been a success, with constant updates bringing new characters and cosmetics inspired by the comics and the MCU. In February, the Thing and the Human Torch were added to the game, and leaks indicate that Blade may be one of the next to join the roster of playable heroes.

NetEase has already released special skins for various characters, such as Punk Rage Hulk, which caught the attention of fans for its unusual references. Thus, the possible arrival of Black Widow in a Western outfit reinforces the game's commitment to offering differentiated visuals connected to the vast Marvel universe.

With the event approaching, players are awaiting official confirmation from the developer regarding the free skin and possible new additions to the game.
