Marvel Rival's season 3 is about to start and promises a series of news for fans of Netease's competitive shooter. Starting on July 11, the new Battle Pass features themed skins, double tokens and adjustments to the missions system. The character Phoenix also enters the playable cast, marking a more intense and condensed phase of the game.
With the reduction in the duration of the season, which will now be two months, instead of three, the developer implemented strategic changes to maintain the pace and reward of the players. Next, see all the details of what to expect from the pass and how to ensure the exclusive items.
Battle Pass keeps structure, but reward faster
Season third continues to offer 10 exclusive skins as part of the pass, maintaining the same price of the previous season. However, the amount of chrono tokens, currency necessary to unlock the content, will be higher, allowing players to advance faster during the shortened season.
In addition, Netease removed the daily missions, redistributing the rewards between the other challenges. Now the weekly challenges will remain active until the end of the season, allowing more busy players to not be at a disadvantage.
Season missions bring more content and flexibility
One of the big news is the arrival of season missions, which remain active throughout the cycle and offer a larger volume of Chrono tokens. With this, players will be more freedomed to progress at their pace, without the pressure of daily logins.
Thus, the change also brings Marvel rivals out of other games of its kind, such as Fortnite and Apex Legends, which already adopt a similar system of permanent challenges throughout the season.
Season 3 skins explore the symbiotic universe and Phoenix Force
Season 3's main theme revolves around the planet Klytar and the presence of the villain Knull, bringing with him several symbions -inspired skins. Among the visuals already confirmed in the pass are:
- Rocket Raccoon, Squirrel Girl and Jeff the Land Shark with symbiotic skins;
- Emma Frost with Phoenix Force Skin;
- Magik and Wolverine will also receive versions with Phoenix's power;
- Blade, Hela and Storm will gain visuals based on “Knullified” aesthetics.
Some of these visuals have not yet had their way of obtaining confirmed, and may arrive via events or the store, but the previews already reveal a darker and more impactful visual pattern.
Additional rewards expand heroes customization
In addition to skins, Battle Pass will feature traditional sprays, MVP screens, emotes and visual effects. One of the most awaited features is the Unstable Molecules, materials that allow you to unlock Ultimate VFX, adding unique effects to the favorite characters of players.
As in previous seasons, there will be two reward trails:
- The free trail, with a limited number of items, including some skins;
- The Premium Trail, which offers complete access to all unlockable content.
