On the official website of the anime adaptation of the manga written by Hazuki Takeoka and illustrated by Tiv , Masamune-kun no Revenge ( Masamune-kun's Revenge ), the first promotional image for the second season of the project, titled " Masamune-kun no Revenge R" . The press release revealed production details, but did not confirm the release date of the new season.

The production team remains the same as the first season. Finally, the anime's first season premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the episodes as they aired in Japan and will be responsible for rebroadcasting them.
Synopsis:
"I've returned to this town for revenge!" Masamune Makabe, a weak, chubby boy, suffered a harsh rejection at the hands of the beautiful Aki Adagaki.
