The renowned brothers Lana and Andy Wachowski, who were responsible for the classic Matrix trilogy of the 2000s, may be writing a new trilogy.
According to Latino Review, the creators of the franchise are already submitting potential ideas to Warner Bros. One of these ideas would involve the emergence of the Matrix, but for now there is still nothing defined regarding the premise; It is only known that parallel plots – such as Matrix animations – will not be taken into consideration.
After the end of the trilogy, the Wachowskis directed two films for Warner, without the same success: Speed Racer and The Journey. The next one, Jupiter Ascending, hits theaters on August 7th.
