Medalist – Manga about figure skating gets anime

Apparently, the successful manga Medalist about figure skating has had its anime adaptation confirmed. The information was leaked on social media before the official announcement of the production.

Directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto at animation studio ENGI ( Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!, Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. ), script by Juki Hanada , character design by Chinatsu Kameyama .

Therefore, the adaptation is based on the manga and is written and illustrated by Tsurumaikada .

Synopsis:

The story follows young Tsukasa , a young man with shattered dreams, and also Inori , a girl no one believed in. However, in the face of adversity within those two there is a tenacity towards the ring greater than either had ever known. Together, they find themselves on the ice and glimpse the world through their figure skating.

Therefore, the manga won several awards, including 15th place on the Honya Club . Furthermore, winning 16th place out of 50 nominees at the 2021 Next Manga Awards in the print category among other awards.

Tsurumaikada began serializing the manga in Monthly Afternoon in May 2020. Kodansha individual tankōbon volumes
