Japanese manufacturer Kaiyodo has announced a new line of action figures from the Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater series. Naked Snake The Boss and Ocelot have been confirmed as part of the Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi collection. The figures' reveal comes months before the official release of the Konami-developed remake. The figures feature exclusive articulation and details inspired by the aesthetics of the original 2004 game. However, pre-order dates have not yet been set.

The figures were featured in posts on the manufacturer's social media over the past week. Each day, a new character was revealed, generating anticipation among fans of the franchise. Kaiyodo's investment demonstrates the collectibles industry's investment in classic video game franchises. The company has previously released similar products inspired by titles like Ninja Gaiden and Godzilla.

New collection features characters in a deluxe edition

The Revoltech line is known for its unique joints that allow for complex and dynamic poses. Kaiyodo's exclusive Revolver Joint system ensures mobility without compromising the figures' finish. The choice of characters like Naked Snake and The Boss directly appeals to the series' nostalgic audience.

The Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater remake promises to modernize the storyline of the third game in the franchise. Set during the Cold War, the title follows Naked Snake's mission to stop the Soviet advance with the Shagohod superweapon. The new collection of figures reflects the game's revamped aesthetic.

Community celebrates the return of official series merchandise

Fan reaction to the new release was positive, with social media posts praising the initiative. Many expressed their excitement at seeing the franchise back on the collectibles market. Some users commented that they had been waiting years for updated figures of the series' main characters.

Despite the excitement, some viewers expressed caution regarding the extra items that typically accompany Revoltech products. Additional parts sold as pre-order bonuses generate recurring criticism among collectors. Even so, the movement confirms the commercial interest in the Metal Gear universe.

Metal Gear Solid Delta arrives with improvements and new modes

The remake will feature significant graphical improvements and new gameplay mechanics. Confirmed features include a quick camouflage system and an over-the-shoulder camera for easier aiming. Classic elements like melee combat and the use of the Codec will also return in the new version.

Another highlight is the return of Snake vs. Monkey mode, a collaboration between Metal Gear and the Ape Escape series. This inclusion reinforces Konami's intention to maintain the original tone of the game even with technical updates. The release is scheduled for August 28th and is part of the company's strategy to revitalize established titles in its catalog.
