Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes , the latest game in Hideo Kojima's franchise, has just received an 18+ rating for "Sexual Violence," a rating used for only the second time in video game history.
A spoiler was released by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Review Board), which is responsible for rating games in the US.

"This is an action game where players take on the role of an elite soldier on a military mission in Cuba. Players infiltrate various bases and use pistols, machine guns, and rocket launchers to kill enemy soldiers. Gunfights are highlighted by realistic gunfire, slow-motion effects, and blood splatters. Players can also perform stealth attacks (e.g., strangulation and stabbing from behind) and have the ability to kill non-enemy characters such as prisoners and civilians. One scene includes the display of blood and entrails (e.g., a character's intestines are shown during a procedure to remove an object from inside the person's body). The game includes an audio file in which a woman is sexually assaulted by a man. In this case, there is no visual representation, only the sound of clothes being torn and people struggling. The words "fuck" and "shit" are heard in the dialogue.".
