Television network Fuji TV announced on Wednesday a new anime titled Metallic Rouge that will premiere in January 2024. The anime team revealed a trailer and image along with the announcement.

The “tech noir” anime takes place in a world where humans and androids coexist. The story focuses on Rouge, an android girl, who is on a mission to Mars with her partner Naomi. The mission is to assassinate nine artificial humans who are hostile to the government.
Technical team
Motonobu Hori (Carole & Tuesday) is directing the anime at studio BONES. Yutaka Izubuchi (mecha designer on Mobile Police Patlabor, Star Blazers 2199, RahXephon) is handling series composition and also serving as chief director. Toshizo Nemoto (Macross Delta) is writing the scripts. Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop) is designing the characters. Taisei Iwasaki (BELLE) is composing the music.
