Microsoft has just surprised fans. After Nintendo drew attention with the prices of Nintendo Switch 2 , now it's Xbox to receive bad news. The company has officially confirmed a global price increase for its consoles, accessories, and games .
Everything has become more expensive in the Xbox world. According to a statement published on the brand's official website, starting today (May 1st), the prices of consoles and controllers will be readjusted both in the official store and at authorized retailers, depending on available stock and other factors. In other words, fans will need to prepare their wallets.
Price increase first hits the US, Europe and Australia

Although the changes are global, Microsoft has only detailed the new prices for the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Therefore, prices in Brazil have not yet been released. However, the company has already stated that prices will be adjusted according to local rates and market conditions.
In the United States, for example, the increase is striking. The Xbox Series S (512 GB) went from US$299.99 to US$379.99, a jump of almost 27%. Accessories, although with smaller adjustments, also became more expensive, ranging between 7% and 11%.

In addition, games will also undergo price adjustments . Starting next holiday season, new first-party Microsoft titles will cost $79.99, in both physical and digital versions.
Finally, the company assured that the prices of already released games will not be changed. However, some Activision titles on Steam have already seen price increases this week.
