Microsoft just surprised fans. After Nintendo Nintendo Switch 2 game prices Xbox 's turn to get some bad news. The company has officially confirmed a global price increase for its consoles, accessories, and games .
Everything has become more expensive in the Xbox world. According to a statement published on the brand's official website, starting today (May 1st), console and controller prices will be adjusted both at the official store and at authorized retailers, depending on available stock and other factors. In other words, fans will need to prepare their wallets.
Increase arrives first in the US, Europe and Australia
Although the changes are global, Microsoft has only detailed the new pricing for the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Therefore, prices in Brazil have not yet been announced. However, the company has already stated that prices will be adjusted based on local rates and market conditions.
In the United States, for example, the increase is impressive. The Xbox Series S (512 GB) went from $299.99 to $379.99, a jump of almost 27%. Accessories, although with smaller increases, also became more expensive, ranging from 7% to 11%.
