The long-awaited live-action adaptation of Mieruko-chan has finally been announced! The film will premiere in early summer 2025, with actress Hara Nanoka playing the protagonist Miko Yotsuya .

Based on the horror-comedy manga by Tomoki Izumi, Mieruko-chan follows Miko, a high school student who suddenly develops the ability to see grotesque and frightening ghosts in her daily routine. Despite her overwhelming fear, Miko tries to ignore them at all costs, pretending nothing is happening and maintaining a seemingly normal life.

Fans of the series can expect a faithful adaptation of the manga's tense and fun atmosphere, with humor to balance the scares. However, the series received an anime adaptation in October 2021 with 12 episodes animated by Passione .
