Game producer Keiji Inafune, responsible for the Mega Man franchise, announced the first teaser for the animated series based on his latest game, Mighty No. 9, at AnimeExpo. Tokyo- based animation company Digital Frontier is developing the series for a global market .

Inafune (Megaman) and his company raised over US$3.5 million in their crowdfunding campaign in October of last year. The side-scrolling adventure will be released in Spring 2015 for the PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
