Therefore, the film is directed by Tatsuya Ishihara . The announcement also included a teaser and a promotional image for the film:
Kanna Kamui (カンナカムイ) is a young dragon who arrives in the human world in search of her friend Tooru. Upon finding Tooru working as a maid for Kobayashi, a human, Kanna feels a mixture of jealousy and curiosity. Despite her reluctance, she ends up moving into Kobayashi's house, having been expelled from the dragon world for her constant mischief.
Over time, Kanna develops a special affection for Kobayashi, seeing her as a mother figure. Tooru, whom she always considered a sister, remains an important pillar in her life.
Finally, the first season, produced by Kyoto Animation, premiered in January 2017 with 13 episodes and an OVA. Its second season premiered in July 2021. Furthermore, the work is adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Coolkyoushinja.
