"Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season" is undoubtedly one of the highest-rated series of the Summer 2024 season. However, because this rating is based on fewer reviews than other popular series, it begs the question of whether it truly deserves this title. This is because it is a sequel, requiring the viewer to be familiar with much of the previous content before enjoying this new release.

Fanservice is a constant element in the "Monogatari Series" franchise, and the latest episode didn't disappoint. Currently, the "Nademonogatari" arc, centered on "Nadeko Draw," is being adapted. In it, Nadeko Sengoku's parents pressure her to finish high school and get a job, which runs counter to her desire to hone her manga skills.

To help her, Yotsugi Ononoki suggests that she create four copies of herself, who will work as her manga assistants. Thus, "Nadeko Bake" (Shy), "Nadeko Nise" (Coquette), "Nadeko Otori" (Antisocial), and "Nadeko Medusa" (Goddess) are born. However, the copies escape, and Nadeko must retrieve them.

Monogatari Series - Off and Monster Season - 05-2

After a day of chasing, Nadeko falls into the trap of "Goddess Nadeko," who has created hundreds of shikigami (servant spirits) in her likeness, walking around the library wearing only bloomers. This scene became a major highlight, as fans who read the original work weren't expecting such a faithful adaptation in the anime .

It's worth noting that "Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season" is not a television anime, but is broadcast directly on streaming platforms in Japan (appearing as an ONA on MyAnimeList). This allows for greater creative freedom, something greatly appreciated by fans, who were quick to comment on this memorable scene.
