Marvel Rivals character Moon Knight is dealing more damage than expected with his ultimate ability. A possible bug or error in the ability's description causes the attack to have a longer range and hit opponents beyond the officially designated area.
Ability range is greater than reported
According to the official Marvel Rivals description, Moon Knight's ultimate attack launches three claws, each dealing 75 damage within a five-meter radius. However, player testing has shown that the actual area of effect is larger.
Reddit user Sidewaysgts posted a video demonstrating that the attack has two areas of effect: an initial five-meter area and an additional area that expands the range to ten meters. Furthermore, within the smaller area, each claw deals 150 damage, double the stated amount.
In a test with Galacta Bots, which have 225 health points, two hits were enough to destroy them. Based on the damage described in the game, three hits would be required.

Surprise effect and impact on gameplay
The unexpected mechanics make Moon Knight more lethal than anticipated. His final attack hits three points within the area of effect, quickly eliminating enemies. In the Sidewaysgts video, a 150-damage strike hits a robot head-on, followed by another attack that eliminates it ten meters away.
Thus, if the skill only had a five-meter range, as the description states, the second strike would miss the enemy, allowing them to retreat or heal. Therefore, Moon Knight can defeat resilient characters like Venom with just two or three attacks.
Marvel Rivals bug or intentional feature?
Developer NetEase hasn't confirmed the issue yet. If it's a bug, the developer can fix it in an update. However, if it's intentional, they need to clarify the difference between the description and the actual effect.
Despite his unexpected strength, Moon Knight doesn't dominate the game. His success rate is 47%, with an 8% pick rate, lagging behind other Duelists. Still, his performance is better than that of Storm, a character who has received constant criticism from the community.
