The trailer reveals that Mushikaburi-hime is a classic shoujo manga with charming and sensitive characters. Several incredibly handsome suitors vie for the heroine Elianna Bernstein , who in the trailer appears to be a typical shoujo protagonist: a sensitive and kind girl. Therefore, the question remains whether Mushikaburi-hime will offer something out of the ordinary in its story or simply follow the traditional shoujo formula? We'll eventually find out!
Synopsis
Ever since she learned to read, Eliana Bernstein – better known as the “Bibliophile Princess” – preferred the company of books to that of people. However, as a noblewoman, it is her duty to find a suitor. Fortunately for her, Crown Prince Christopher Selkirk Asherald proposes a deal: he will protect her free time and, in return, Eliana will be his fiancée in name only.
The years they spend together are a joy, as Eliana learns to open up to others. But all good things must come to an end. For Eliana, who loves books more than people, ending the fake relationship shouldn't be a big deal. But as Christopher gets closer to another girl, Eliana begins to realize she's not as indifferent to him as she thought.
