Synopsis:

The fantasy story takes place in Japan's Taishō era (1912–1926) . We meet Mameda , a shape-shifting tanuki girl who dreams of becoming human. Mame transforms her outward appearance into a beautiful, black-haired human girl and heads to the bustling city of Osaka. However, people immediately see through Mameda's disguise, and a beautiful woman mercilessly tells the depressed Mameda, "Go back to where you came from." It turns out that the woman named Bunko is herself a supernatural creature who has transformed into a rakugo (comedic storytelling) storyteller. Mameda begs Bunko to become her master and teach her how to play a human.

Finally, TNSK published the My Master Has No Tail manga in Good! Afternoon in January 2019. Kodansha published the fifth volume of the manga on March 5.
