The two were originally meant to be "enemies" in the story, however, as Katarina wanted to avoid a bad ending, she decided to do everything to change her destiny, and her main change was winning Maria's heart.

Keith Claes X Nicol Ascart

Just like the first ship, Keith Claes (Katarina's half-brother) and Nicol Ascart became fan favorites in the community for several reasons. However, one of the main reasons is the chemistry between the two throughout the animation

Katarina X Sophia Ascart

Just like the first one, Katarina continues to be the focus of another ship. In this case, Sophia Ascart (Nicol Ascart's sister) quickly became friends with Katarina because she is very cute and curious. The ship is extremely loved because of the cuteness they share with each other throughout the anime.

At first glance, they may seem like a mismatched couple. However, this assertion falls apart when you watch their moments together throughout the anime. The two are the perfect example of how opposites attract.

Finally, we have one of the most beloved ships of all time, known for its synchronicity and compatible personalities. Analogously to Nicol, who had a personality quite different from Katarina's, Alan Stuart proves the opposite, being an incredible match for Katarina in every way.
