My Sweet Marriage to My Ex-Nemesis Gets TV Anime

The light novel My Sweet Marriage to My Ex-Nemesis (Soshiki no Shukuteki to Kekkon Shitara Mecha Amai) is getting a TV anime adaptation. Kadokawa confirmed the production on Saturday, along with the first staff details.

Atsushi Nigorikawa, known for A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring, is directing the anime at Ankichi Kobo. Keiichirō Ōchi is supervising the scripts, while Yūki Nakano is handling the character designs.
The staff also released character reference art and a commemorative illustration by Kewi Hayashi, the illustrator of the light novels.


From enemies to newlyweds
The story follows Roshi Saigawa and Ritsuka Nagira, former rivals who belonged to different organizations of warriors with supernatural powers. After years of disputes and clashes, the two end up getting married. Their new routine, however, does not erase the problems of the past. Old rivalries resurface, while secrets and unexpected situations put their relationship to the test.
Toshimichi Uzō published the first volume of the light novel in October 2023 through Dengeki Bunko, with illustrations by Kewi Hayashi. The fifth volume will be released on November 10.
Additionally, Shīme's manga began serialization in November 2024 in Dengeki Maoh magazine.
