The company N Lite revealed on Wednesday (25) through an Instagram , which is producing an animated movie "Chiure: Child of the Sea" . The work is a partnership with the South African studio Lucan .
Production is being developed by N Lite in its studios in Japan and the first look of the work was released, check out:
The company said its mission is to expand the production of black and indigenous stories in collaboration with global creators, producing traditional 2D animations and expanding to series and movies.

Mozambique 's folklore , the film will follow the journey of Chiure , a young woman who protects the coastal community where she lives, being threatened after arousing a god of sleeping waters.
The script is signed by Vanessa dos Santos , who also divides the history of history with Clayton Koski and Christiano Terry , the latter is also the responsible art direction. And Tom Lintern works as a watercolor artist.
Tribute to the 50th anniversary of Mozambique's Independence
The announcement of the film coincides with the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Mozambique, celebrated on June 25 . An Lite confirmed that Chure will go into production after MFinda , another studio project.
N Lite and his projects in Afro-Anime (Afrime)
Under the leadership of Christiano Terry, founder of N Lite, the company is investing in the production of “Afro-Anime” (or Africa ). The movie MFinda features Shin Koyamada (from “The Last Samurai” ) and Shigeru Igari (former Atlus CEO) in the production team.
The project is a partnership with Juvee Productions , the company of actress Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon . The production of gathers names such as:
- Masao Maruyama , producer of Tokyo Godfathers and in this corner of the world in production ;
- Gisaburō Sugii , director of Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie in the direction ;
- Arthell Isom , co-founder of the studio of Art Shtajio , as co-director;
- Donald H. Hewitt , screenwriter of the English version of Chihiro's trip on the script.
In addition, N Lite is developing other animations in partnership with Gonzo and award-winning director Peter Ramsey ( Spider-Man in the Spider ), which include thriller Noir “ Ripper” and the science fiction series “Hotaru” .
