Nanatsu no Taizai: Ensa no Edinburgh – Trailer reveals Netflix premiere date

Netflix released a trailer on Saturday for the first part of Nanatsu no Taizai: Ensa no Edinburgh (The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh), the new two-part film based on the anime Nanatsu no Taizai .

The video reveals the film's world premiere on December 20th and also reveals and showcases the theme song by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:XAI , “ Lemonade ”.

Yuuki Kaji is reprising his role from the main series as Meliodas. Mikako Komatsu is voicing Meliodas' son, Tristan, as a boy, while Ayumu Murase is voicing Tristan as a teenager.

Synopsis

Fourteen years after the Kingdom of Liones defeated the Demon Clan and brought peace to the land, Prince Tristan is tormented by his inability to control two great powers: the power of the Demon Clan of his father, Meliodas, who served as captain of the Seven Deadly Sins as the Dragon's Sin of Wrath, and the power of the Goddess Clan of his mother, Elizabeth. When Elizabeth's life is threatened, Tristan flees the kingdom and heads for Edinburgh, where Deathpierce—once a member of the kingdom's Holy Knights, the Pleiades of the Azure Sky—holds his castle. But what are Deathpierce's intentions?

Bob Shirahata is directing the anime, with Noriyuki Abe as supervising director. Rintarou Ikeda is writing the script for the project, and Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack are handling the animation. Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are composing the music.
