Naruto anime will return in 2023 with special episodes starting on its 20th anniversary. There will be 4 episodes focused on the classic story of Naruto and will premiere in the second half of this year.

When the Boruto anime went on hiatus, it was announced that the Naruto anime will return as well. Now the 4 special episodes finally have a release date, September 3rd. However, Crunchyroll and no other streaming platform took over the broadcast of these episodes. Furthermore, the synopsis of this story is still a mystery, the only thing we know is that it will be events that take place between the classic Naruto and Naruto Shippuden phases.

Naruto received its first anime adaptation by studio Pierrot in 2002, lasting until 2007. However, in the same year, the anime already received its sequel, Naruto Shippuden , which came to an end in 2017.

Ukyo  Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto launched Boruto: Naruto Next Generations , a sequel manga, in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016, and the manga ran monthly in the magazine. Shueisha 's V Jump magazine in July 2019. Masashi Kishimoto took over the project as the manga's writer in November 2020.

Finally, the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime, in turn, premiered in April 2017 and went on hiatus in March 2023 to prepare the second phase of the story, which takes place after the timeskip.
