Hollywood — Lionsgate is in talks with Michael Gracey to direct a live-action Hollywood adaptation of the popular manga and anime series Naruto . The reports clearly indicate that visual effects expert Gracey is attempting to make his feature directorial debut.

If the information is confirmed, this Americanized version is produced by “Avi Arad”, the former president of “Marvel” who was responsible for bringing Spider-Man to the cinema.

The manga created by Masashi Kishimoto in 1997 has sold over 200 million copies in Japan. The plot follows Naruto, a teenager who dreams of becoming the ninja protector of his village. Several adaptations and sequels have been produced in Japan. A sequel to The Last Naruto , the film about Boruto, Naruto's son, premieres on August 7th in Japan and arrives in the US in October.
