Naruto is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its original TV adaptation, and the creator behind the franchise, Masashi Kishimoto , has revealed that playing Sakura Haruno became his biggest regret when reflecting on the anime .

Although Naruto is still ongoing with the official sequel series ( Boruto: Naruto Next Generations ), the current timing has been perfect for fans of the original version, as Kishimoto has been outspoken. Looking back, the author shared some things he wishes he had done differently.
Masashi Kishimoto , creator of Naruto , and Mikio Ikemoto, writer of Boruto , participated in an event in France, bringing several interesting facts about the creation of the series. Kishimoto revealed that one of his biggest regrets is Sakura Haruno and its development in the plot. However in the recent event, reported by the French newspaper La Nouvelle Republique , the author went into more depth saying that he would have liked to have worked Sakura better into the plot.
Finally, the revelation took many fans by surprise, as Sakura has always been a central character in Naruto.
